Plaster casts taken from the surface of the ground. The depth of these casts was caused by the severely wet winter of 2019/20 and the weight of the horses caused deep poaching of the saturated mud.
Revealing shape and form by shrouding. Naturally formed cracks in the ground during the summer months were revealed when an ancient trampoline was lifted from the ground where it had been abandoned.
Interested in the properties of peat and its preservative qualities I experimented by burying paper in the ground to record the natural composting and deterioration which occurs.

Making Visible is a project exploring the hidden spaces, tunnels and runs made by voles in the ground. Using synthetic material poured into the holes and video footage I tried to capture these mysterious spaces.
