Shroud

Revealing shape and form by shrouding. Naturally formed cracks in the ground during the summer months were revealed when an ancient trampoline was lifted from the ground where it had been abandoned. I pressed muslin into these cracks to form a cast. Over time earth matter, soil and natural debris had stuck to the surface.

Attaching this 'shroud' to a metal part of the trampoline was a reconfiguration of materials. Suspending it related to the physical action of lifting it off the ground and allowing the bottom edge to brush the floor connected it to it's origins.
